DELMA Oceanmaster to be auctioned to raise funds for WWF

MIRANDA MERRON’S DELMA OCEANMASTER TO BE AUCTIONED TO RAISE FUNDS FOR WWF FRANCE

Place your bid to win a Delma Oceanmaster that has competed in the 2020 Vendee Globe onboard Campange de France with Miranda Merron, raise funds for WWF France and meet with Miranda at the finish of her race to accept it.

The world is watching as the Vendée Globe draws to a close. With Yannick Bestaven taking the win, having completed the race in an impressive 80 days 3 hours 44 minutes and 46 seconds, Miranda Merron is making amazing progress at the helm of the Campagne de France, now sailing down the coast of Brazil with her closest rivals Groupe Sétin (Manuel Cousin) and Compagnie du lit – Jiliti (Clément Giraud). Miranda achieved a personal record a few days ago covering 400 miles in 24 hours. On the 86th day of racing, and just over 3,000 miles from the finish, she is in a great position to complete her around the world trip in less than 100 days.

Equipped with a Delma Oceanmaster, Miranda has been able to accurately track her timing and gage her progress. The Oceanmaster, inspired by the world’s best seafarers and designed for fearless adventurers possesses key navigation features for sailors and has accompanied Miranda on her incredible journey around the world. She has also been carrying a second Delma Oceanmaster onboard and we are pleased to offer this well-travelled, special watch at auction to raise funds for WWF France.

WWF is one of the leading independent environmental protection organizations in the world. With an active network in over 100 countries and with the support of nearly 6 million members, WWF works to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and build a future where humans live in harmony with nature, conserving global biodiversity, ensuring sustainable use of renewable natural resources, and promoting reduction of pollution and waste.

As WWF approaches its 60th anniversary, the challenges facing the planet have never been more serious. The next decade will be crucial in determining the future of the planet and WWF is committed to applying its expertise to ensure the best possible outcome. World renowned sailor Isabelle Autissier, celebrated for being the first woman to have completed a solo world competition (BOC Challenge 1990-91) has, until recently, been the President of WWF France so this partnership seemed natural.
